Walker, who was 40 at the time, was a passenger in a Porsche Carrera, which was being driven by professional race car driver and close friend Roger Rodas. Rodas was giving Walker a ride home after the pair attended a charity event together. Rodas allegedly lost control of his Carrera GT which smacked into a pole at high speed. Unfortunately, the Carrerra GT then burst into flames, claiming the life of Walker. An actor who spent the majority of his adult life portraying a racer.

How Did The Fast &Furious Team Complete Production Of Fast and Furious 7 Without Walker?

Director Stephen Wan, enlisted the help of Walker’s brothers Caleb and Cody to film Walker’s remaining scenes. Whilst Caleb and Cody bear a slight resemblance to their famous brother, in order for Caleb and Cody to pass as their brother, Wan and his editing team used the latest in CGI technology in order to combine footage of Walker’s brothers with CGI enhanced footage of Walker.

If you’ve watched Fast and Furious 7, you may be curious as to witch scenes utilized Walker’s brothers. Most of the final scenes were created using Walker’s brothers as body doubles. As an example, most of Jordanna Brewster’s scenes in which she portrays Mia, Brian’s wife, were shot using Walker’s brothers as body doubles.
